🔒 The short version: no student data is ever collected or stored. Your name is used only during lesson generation and is never saved anywhere.

Who we are

What data we collect

When you use Generat_Ed, we collect:

Account information — your email address and display name via Google Sign-In (Firebase Authentication)
Lesson generation inputs — subject, year group, duration, and tutor name you enter when generating a lesson. These are sent to the Claude AI API to generate your lesson and are not stored after generation.
Usage data — number of lessons generated (stored in your account to manage your credit allowance)
Payment information — handled entirely by LemonSqueezy. We never see or store your card details.

What we do NOT collect

No student names, student data, or any information about pupils
No lesson content after it is generated and sent to you
No tracking cookies beyond what is needed for authentication
No data is sold to third parties

Third-party services

Generat_Ed uses the following third-party services:

Anthropic Claude API — processes your lesson generation inputs. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed via their API.
Pexels / Unsplash / Pixabay — image search. Your search queries are sent to these services.
Firebase (Google) — authentication and account storage. Google's privacy policy applies.
LemonSqueezy — payment processing. LemonSqueezy's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Railway — server hosting. Data is hosted in the EU/UK where possible.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your account data at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email tutorflow.hello@gmail.com.

Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Lesson generation inputs are not retained after the lesson is delivered to you. If you delete your account, all associated data is removed within 30 days.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (Firebase session token). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Changes to this policy

We will notify registered users by email of any material changes to this privacy policy.
